FC Winterthur will play a friendly against FC Basel on 3 October. The match at Stadion Schützenwiese kicks off at 16:00 and takes place during the three-week international break.
It will be the first match for FC Basel's new, yet-to-be-named head coach. For Patrick Rahmen's side, it is a chance to test themselves against a top-flight club. The two teams already drew 2:2 in a friendly in Basel back in July.
Public ticket sales begin on Tuesday, 22 September at 10:00 via FC Winterthur's sales channels. Children up to five years old get in for free, while tickets for those aged six to thirteen cost five Swiss francs. All other tickets are priced at ten francs. Available sectors for fans are A, which includes the away curve, standing area, and main stand, and sector C.
FC Winterthur enter the break in good form. The team is second in the Challenge League with 18 points from nine games and is on a three-match winning streak. Their recent form reads WWWDD. The next competitive fixture is away to sixth-placed Neuchatel Xamax FC on 9 October. FC Basel's next league match is on 11 October against promoted side Vaduz.
